CodeMenu

CodeMenu is a snippets manager with a lot of power to help you organize and use your code snippets. It's built for macOS, but you can use it to organize snippets with tags, groups and language-based sorting. You can also open your GitHub Gists within the app so you can share and manage them.

The snippets editor has the basics like syntax highlighting, but also more advanced abilities like previewing HTML and RegEx, running snippets, and generating libraries. It can handle LaTeX for mathematical documentation and Mermaid flow diagrams. You can also set placeholders to make snippets more reusable.

The app comes with a variety of tools, including a RegEx tester, converters, generators and coders. You can call them up and your snippets with a side window or with a suggestions system that you can trigger with the keystroke §§. That system requires a helper app to work.

CodeMenu also has its own database of snippets, the Snippets Store, where you can look for and share snippets. You can also add AI-generated descriptions and titles to your snippets. CodeMenu supports several languages, including JavaScript by default, but you can add other languages manually by pointing to command-line utilities for those languages.

CodeMenu costs $4.99 per month, and you can try it with a free trial version on the App Store. It requires macOS 12 or later, running on either Intel or Apple Silicon chips. For best performance of AI features, you'll need at least 16 GB of RAM and Apple Silicon.

CodeMenu is designed to make snippet management and reuse easier, and that's a big help for programmers trying to get more out of their code.
