AI Model Integration Desktop Application Natural Language Processing

ChatTab is a native desktop app for macOS that connects to OpenAI's ChatGPT API. The app lets you use the AI models directly from your Mac's desktop, with a fast and powerful interface for sending prompts to GPT3.5, GPT4, GPT4-Vision and Claude2. The app also lets you use the built-in API key, which means you don't need to log in to ChatGPT separately.

ChatTab's features include:

  • ChatGPT API Client: Access multiple models without logging in separately.
  • Native Experience: A smaller memory footprint and faster launch compared to web-based alternatives.
  • Markdown Support: Natural support for common Markdown formatting like headings, code and lists.
  • Unique UI Design: Multiple tabs let you easily switch between different conversations.
  • Shortcut Keys: Show the message dialog window with customizable keyboard shortcuts.
  • iCloud Sync: Sync prompts across multiple devices with iCloud for greater convenience.

ChatTab also lets you use models that accept images as input, like GPT4-Vision, and use the Assistant API to handle PDF, XML and CSV files. The app stores the API key securely with Apple's keychain, and stores conversation history locally, with iCloud synchronization on the roadmap.

The app doesn't store any data or log any tracking information. It supports multiple languages, with more translations coming in the future.

ChatTab pricing tiers include:

  • Free (Starter): 10,000 tokens, single tab, all models supported.
  • $19.99 (Pro): Multiple tabs, custom prompts, iCloud sync, single MacOS device.
  • $39.99 (Max): Everything in Pro, plus support for up to three MacOS devices.
  • Pay-as-you-go plans: $3.99, $6.99 and $9.99 tiers with different token limits and model support.

ChatTab is geared for people who want a native ChatGPT experience on their Mac.
