XNote is a radical new hybrid of analog and digital. The system, which includes a special notebook, smart pen and mobile app, is geared for people who like writing but who also want to take advantage of the technology revolution.

At its core is a carefully designed notebook whose pages have special dots that the smart pen can detect and use to send your handwriting to the mobile app. That lets you get immediate digital access to your notes, organize them and search for specific information and share them with others.

Among XNote's features are:

  • ChatGPT Integration: Ask questions of your notes to get new information out of your earlier handwriting.
  • Digital Sync: Automatically convert handwriting into digital text so you can share and edit it.
  • Smart Task Detection: AI-based recognition and reminders for tasks and events you record.
  • Cloud Storage: Secure and searchable storage for your notes.
  • Share & Export: Share handwritten notes or convert them into plain text.

XNote works with multiple languages, supporting 53 so far. The system is designed to automatically categorize and summarize notes so you can find what you're looking for without having to dig through pages.

The app can link to other services, letting you get a unified digital experience by turning notes into text, sending tasks to to-do apps and sending handwritten calendar appointments to calendar apps.

XNote is designed to have a long product life, with replacement notebooks costing about the same as conventional notebooks. That means there's less electronic waste. The project also promises responsible sourcing of materials, sustainable shipping practices and regular software updates to keep the environmental commitment.

XNote isn't yet finished, but the project is well along, with shipments due in April. By investing in the project, you're helping fulfill a dream to make notes more useful, accessible and interactive.
