VMware Tanzu lets Dev and Ops teams develop, deliver and manage cloud-native applications anywhere, in any cloud and at the edge. It speeds up software delivery, streamlines lifecycle management and makes it easier to adopt cloud-native development methods.

Tanzu Platform is a centralized hub for managing VM-based containers with Cloud Foundry or any Kubernetes, on public or private clouds. That means developers can tap into a variety of services and OSS libraries while still supporting polyglot and multi-cloud environments. Tanzu is tuned to take advantage of Spring and is closely integrated with VMware Cloud Foundation.

Tanzu also supports cloud-native data and messaging with options like Greenplum and GemFire. Tanzu's consulting services, Tanzu Labs, help customers build new applications, modernize legacy apps and develop Kubernetes strategies.

Pricing details aren't disclosed. But case studies and white papers show Tanzu can help customers cut costs. For example, a 31-90% reduction in development time, a 70-80% reduction in management costs, and an average savings of $2 million in infrastructure costs. Customers also reported a 142% return on investment.
