Text.Theater is an AI bot for the chat app Discord that can generate scenes from more than 200 TV shows in response to your prompts. The bot uses large language generation AI technology to fabricate dialogue between characters, and the result is a scene that sounds like it could be part of the TV show.
To use the bot, you invite the Text.Theater bot to your Discord server. Then you can use a command to get a new scene. The command is "/simulate" followed by the name of the TV show and a description of the scene you want to see. The bot will then generate the scene, usually within a minute or so, depending on how busy the bot is and how complex your request is.
Text.Theater is designed to be easy to use, letting you ask for scenes from a broad range of TV shows. The bot can generate scenes that are entertaining and creative, but it's an AI, so it's not going to nail every character's personality.
Each scene costs one token. You can buy tokens from the bot itself: 25 tokens costs $5, 50 tokens costs $8, 100 tokens costs $14, and 250 tokens costs $25. Each server gets three free tokens to start.
Text.Theater covers a lot of TV shows, including popular ones like "Seinfeld," "Star Trek," "Frasier," "Scooby-Doo" and many others. The bot encourages you to share the simulated scenes with friends and on social media.
There's a limit to how many scenes you can request at once per server, but it replenishes immediately as soon as you get a scene and it's displayed. And the bot has some rules for content, too, telling you to check the content guidelines before requesting scenes with hate speech, harassment, explicit content or other inappropriate material.
