Quill

Quill is a free, nonprofit literacy tool for elementary, middle and high school students. It's designed to help students read more deeply, write more clearly and communicate more effectively through exercises and activities. Quill's tools are designed to help students meet different goals, all for free.

Quill's core tools include:

• Quill Reading for Evidence: Nonfiction passages accompanied by AI-generated writing prompts to help students think more deeply and understand more.
• Quill Connect: Sentence combining exercises to help students write more sophisticated sentences.
• Quill Lessons: A tool for teachers to guide whole-class and small-group writing lessons with interactive slides and discussion prompts.
• Quill Diagnostic: A tool to quickly assess student weaknesses in sentence construction and create a personalized plan to address them.
• Quill Proofreader: An editing tool that lets students practice editing passages and get personalized feedback.
• Quill Grammar: More than 150 sentence writing activities to help students practice basic grammar skills.
