KUVO uses unobtrusive technology to automatically report music play for royalty purposes, capturing only track information and never sharing it publicly. That means DJs' privacy and setlists are protected because there's no record of which DJ played which tracks.

Through partnerships, like with DJ Monitor, KUVO also offers more advanced music identification and insights services. The overall purpose of the system is to ensure that music creators get royalties, a perennial problem of getting good information about what's being played in nightclubs and electronic music venues.

KUVO's benefits are many. For venues, it offers private access to trend and summary information about what's being played and special benefits on Pioneer DJ and AlphaTheta gear. For music rights organizations, KUVO offers accurate and secure music play data so they can pay creators and rightsholders more accurately. KUVO doesn't charge venues, music creators or DJs for its services. Instead, it makes money by selling data enrichment, music play insights and analytics services to some industry partners.
